Very sad to hear about Graham Taylor today. Always came across on the media as being a top bloke as well as a real football man.

Very sad news.
A truly decent football man.
Remarkable success at Watford and Villa before a tough time with England.
RIP Graham

Very sad news.

Can't say I was a fan of his long-ball style, but he always seemed a very decent, honourable man.

He always showed class too, even after the vile ridiculing he was subjected to by the gutter press.

RIP Graham.

Haven't seen the news today - but this is very sad.

RIP Graham.

I went to an awful lot of Enland away games between 1997 and about 2008/9 and Graham Taylor was often in those far flung cities to do radio or tv commentary.

What an absolutely lovely man he was, such a gent and always happy to chat, do photos, sign autographs etc. True England fans knew what a decent kind man he was.

Watford fans must be beyond gutted. He was Watford FC.

Yes, a great bloke who did wonders for Watford - out of his depth in the England job but not alone there.

RIP Graham - you'll be missed in the commentary box.

Don't underestimate how important he was to Villa. We were facing a second Ellis created abyss in 1987 and he saved us. Make no mistake, he brought the whole club together. It was brilliant after years of Herbert ripping the heart out of the club to have someone who could produce a winning team that was united on and off the pitch as well as bonding the club and fans together again after the divisive things that Ellis did.

Always friendly and approachable and a great ambassador for Aston Villa FC as well. I'm not too proud to admit that I shed tears on Thursday.
