Plastic bags in 1931?

Did they have plastic bags in 1931? Someone has just listed as called 1931 cup,final on eBay £600 start and he says it has been in its plastic bag since match day lol

1960s for plastic bags as we know them and i reckon 2000s for programmes given out in plastic covers.

is is a modern copy 'in a original bag'

I note the seller of the 1931 cup final whip originally said still in the same bag it was in at the game has now removed those comments but the programme is still in the same bag. Probably the bag he pit it in when he bought it at a car boot sale.

Notice that 'The listing has ended by the seller because of an error in the listing'. Probably because the seller has suddenly realised that there are a lot of reproductions about and his (or hers) falls in that category.

That is one of the standard ebay "excuses" they allow you to use if you are ending your own auction.
