Car packed and setting off shortly for the Wimbledon fair

Looking forward to seeing some old faces and a few new ones I hope....

Not looking forward to flashbacks to Wembley last year and packing the car back up...so please come and buy everything

Rugby and Boxing stuff failed to make the cut through space but a broad selection of ancientish and modern football programmes and memorabilia.

See you later if you are coming

Peter

I can only add my appreciation to the organisers...a decent turn out of collectors of all kinds, my favourite being the guy who only collects defunct clubs and counties...he could be busy if Putin and Trump go head to head...

Good venue....left by 1.30 home by 2.30...

See you next year Smile

Peter

This is a belated, but nonetheless very sincere 'Big Thank You' to the stall-holders and collectors who supported the 2nd Annual AFC Wimbledon Fair at the beginning of the month. (I've been so busy in the succeeding weeks I've simply not had time to post on the Forum).
As with the first Fair at this venue, it again attracted an attendance of around 100, which is very encouraging.
All the profits go to the We Are Wimbledon Fund. What the supporters of that club have achieved is quite remarkable. I well remember in the early 2000's, when I was living in London, seeing on the tube every weekend hundreds of these fans, proudly wearing their blue and yellow scarves, making their way to various minor non-League grounds, where they multiplied, often by tenfold, the usual crowd of around 50 hardy souls. Now, a decade later and with ten promotions to their credit (without the help of a 'sugar-daddy' owner) their self-sustainable club have climbed up to League Two - an incredible achievement! That's why I am so pleased to be involved in organising a Fair at this venue.
Needless to say, plans are already being prepared for the 3rd annual AFC Wimbledon Fair to take place next autumn!

yes , however much us Plymouthians try to forget that is sadly true...what is worse is that they completely deserved it too on the day...

So it looks like they have some momentum again this season....as did we until the weekend and Tuesday!
