I am hoping to organise a North Wales fair for Sunday October 23.
The venue has been provisionally booked - Prestatyn Town FC - which offers a spacious clubhouse which could accommodate eight/nine dealers comfortably. Westwardprogs, Accrington Stanley and myself are already booked in so I need five/six more to make it viable, a badge trader would be more than welcome.
Details to follow but a stall is £20, all stall fees to Prestatyn FC.
All the usual facilities, hot and cold food, licensed bar etc.
It has been 15 years or so since we last had a fair in North Wales and as I work in the local press I can get some pretty hefty free coverage and as you can imagine, the interest in football in Wales has never been higher!.
We have plenty of very nice guest houses and hotels here in Prestatyn for anyone looking to stay over and if anyone wants me to sort accommodation I can point them in the right direction, if I pull a few strings I can get 'mates rates' at certain places.
The venue is 200 yards from the seafront and all its attractions so this is an opportunity to make it an ideal weekend stopover.
Would really like to make this a goer so let me know if you are interested in a stall.

If your wanting a badge trader then I would suggest trying to get Terry’s Badges on board.

I'm in for this definatly. Mark knows I will support this venture as I can easily get a train there and back and I love North Wales. The timing is right as Mark says so yeah let's make this a goer and support it. I'm in.

That's four stalls booked - only room for another four!
Should be a good weekend, the Town are at home to Penrhyncoch the day before and there are local games Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
The early signs are that we have enough interest to get the event off the ground so let's call it confirmed!

We are three weeks away now from the first North Wales Programme fair in what I believe is over 20 years – we have eight dealers booked on as follows:

Westward Programmes
NWM Programmes
Glyn Jones (Everton specialist)
Tom Roe
Accrington Stanley FC
Chorley FC
Crewe Alexandra FC
and my good self

There is room for one more so if anyone wants a stall please get in touch asap, contact details below.

As this is unchartered territory for many of you, it may help if I tell you the main collecting and supporting interests along the North Wales coast are Wales’ national team (especially material involving Wales from Euro 16), the Liverpool and Manchester area clubs from Premier League to National League, teams from the Midlands, Potteries and Marches and Wrexham, Chester and Tranmere. Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea also have a following. Big match programmes are always popular and there is a healthy interest in vintage programmes involving Rhyl, Bangor City and Caernarfon Town. This is a very broad spectrum and is just intended as a rough guide. There are also quite a few badge collectors in the region, especially Welsh club issues.

Venue: Prestatyn Town FC, Bastion Gardens, Prestatyn, Denbighshire, LL19 7LU.
Date: Sunday October 23rd, 11.30am till 2.30pm.

The venue is easily accessible with a decent-sized car park some 15 yards from the main entrance to the clubhouse. There are no steps or stairs to negotiate.
Access will be from 9.30am, bacon baps and hot drinks available on arrival! It may be possible to drop off (but not set up) on the Saturday evening.
I hope you will enjoy the event and for those of you staying Saturday night I trust we can meet up for a pint and a chat. Prestatyn is a bit of a boom town at the moment and we have a small but wide-ranging selection of pubs, bars and restaurants, all of which are good and offer a friendly welcome.
For a football fix, Prestatyn Town are at home to Penrhyncoch in the Huws Gray Alliance on the Saturday before the fair, 2.30pm kick off.
