Wrexham v Greenock Morton 17/3/62

Hi

Just picked up this single sheet programme today - a bit tatty to be honest. Anybody know what the game was in aid of?

Wrexham played in all white and Morton in red by all accounts.

Anybody have any ideas on value?

Any info would be appreciated

As far as I am aware it was a mid-season friendly and not related to any testimonial/benefit.

In decent condition I would have thought £15-£20 these days. It comes up occasionally and is easier to get than most of Wrexham's single sheets from that era.

I'm sure the other Wrexham collectors on here might have a view...

About £15 seems right to me, got a spare copy here myself, so not that difficult to get hold of.

17/3/62 was the day of the Scottish Cup 3rd round, so Morton had no game that day having been knocked out by Celtic in the previous round.

I've just checked and Karb is correct. March 17th was the date Wrexham were scheduled to play at home to Accrington Stanley. So looks like it was a case of two teams with blank weekends arranging a game.
