European Comps 16/17-Official-Unofficial

Once again there are lots of European Comps 16/17 Programmes on
Ebay,especially British Clubs aways,from various countries.I don't mind
so much if the seller states they are "unofficial" the buyer then has a
choice.
More of a minefield is with the listings with nothing stated(some with
high prices!!!) as some of these would have never seen the country
the match was played in and would have not been available to buy
at the stadium.
What do other members think?

I think the home-made programmes for these games are deliberately misleading. The sellers know that most collectors won[t have travelled abroad, so will be in the dark as to what they are looking for, and some of the covers are very professional looking too.

At least with match badges, the vast majority are known to be unofficial, and you can see the dodgy crests used and make your own mind up.

With a programme a convincing cover can be a front for a diabolical load of 'contents'

Some even use usually reputable facebook pages to hawk their wares

All we can do is help each other as fellow collectors as to what to look out for. I'd imagine most hardcore club collectors (of the clubs usually in Europe most years) have a regular contact who can advise them
