INFORMATION

I HAD SOME UNSOLDS AND CONTACTED THE LIQIDATOR DIRECT SORTED VERY QUICKLY AND I NOW HAVE THE ITEMS BACK, I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE WITH UNSOLD LOTS TO CONTACT THEM AND IT WILL BE RESOLVED. IAM SURE THERE ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE DONE THIS AND RECIEVED THERE UNSOLDS BACK BUT NO RESPONSE HAS BEEN POSTED IT WOULD PROBABLY REASSURE SOME OF THE PEOPLE/COLLECTORS THAT THERE ITEMS WILL BE RETURNED IN DUE COURSE

You're his mate but thanks for passing the message on. It's still a bloody nightmare. The liquidator is far from helpful . He states Mr Lane should return all items Full Stop. That's it.

mum has left 2 voicemails plus a text message over the last 3 days asking when the unsold items would be returned to her and no shock to us that we've heard nothing! Which is nothing new as he's ignored every communication since March! Today was the deadline to return the goods so his time is up! Hence why we went to the Liverpool Echo today. Story published here! Something needs to be done about this! Please share the story publicly and widely!

Well well well!! Mum text Andy this morning asking about the whereabouts of the unsold cards and she has just had a phone call from
Andy to confirm he is shipping them to her on Monday for receipt on Tuesday! A perfect result for us and extremely relieving too. We can only hope for a good outcome for everyone else too. Subject to receipt of the cards on Tues, which I will confirm on here, then we as a family are willing to put all this to bed. We will pursue the outstanding money owed through the insolvency service.

Hopefully everything will turn up. I would check for every single card. Some cards will be worth more than others.

If you are looking to sell the card collection, check out Tim Davidson or Loddens auction houses. They have a very good reputation in selling cigarette and trade cards.

Glad you will get them back but, as wullie says, check everything you receive and make sure it's all there. Hope you had a record of what you gave him? And what was "sold"?

Your newspaper article certainly kicked a backside or two!

Well done getting your stuff back.. I think the article did enough to get Mr. Lane motivated. I wonder if he's going to do the same for everyone.
I have managed to recoup my money. Not from Lane but from buyers he tried shafting. Fortunately these guys had a little more honesty and integrity about them.
Also, I don't think they wanted an negative publicity either. Smile

Sadly there are a few collectors who don't have such morals.

[quote="Wullie"]. Quickly he changed the subject to his March auction. He told me a Fantastic collection of Sunderland programmes were going to be in the sale. Now these were his very words. "" It is a great collection. Almost complete . THE GUY MUST HAVE SPENT YEARS BUILDING IT UP ""quote]60

Wullie, I think this is my husband's collection you're referring to. 60 years of collecting Sunderland programmes dating back to 1903/4. The irony is that he only decided to sell to help out his daughter whose business is struggling financially. Can't begin to tell you how he's feeling. It's heartbreaking that his cherished personal belongings have gone without the expected benefit to his family. 101 Lots, 90 sold, some for far less than expected, 11 lots unsold not a penny or a programme returned to date.... well no a word from the so called "managing" director who incidentally lives only about 7 miles from us..

I really feel desperately sorry for anyone who has lost money through the actions of this crook, but I have to ask the question why, when this forum alerted us all to Mr Lane's "issues" back in May 2015, did anyone entrust their valuable pride and joy to him.

Perhaps because not everyone is aware of the existence of this site/forum. My husband Googled in his search for a specialist dealer. Lane's company was top of the list. He found a glowing endorsement from a national Footy mag but nothing about this Forum. Why would we doubt the man's integrity?

For all you guys out there who have concerns about FSA Ltd I must draw your attention to the June 2016 Programme Monthly ---just out now. On page 4 it gives a summarised factual account of the situation that prevails at this present time----it is in your interests to view and assess the details.
It is also important that you make every effort to keep to the facts and try to put aside the constant rumours that are circulating throughout the hobby.
I hope that you gain some comfort from the information available and from the further knowledge that will be gained from grouping efforts.
I have no connection with PM at all and this is just a post to possibly give some direction to those who may need it.

Thanks for that Sharrowblade, as Wullie has said previously, it is unbelivable how a company with practically no overheads can rack up a debt of £178,000.

Also, why are there are no assets? If as Mr Lane has claimed he has sent items out to buyers before receiving payment then shouldn't they be listed as debtors?

Lastly, does anyone know how the debt of £2550 to Companies House would have come about, I think the Annual Return fee is £13 a year?
