A complete set of Rothman's Yearbooks from 1971 to 2006 for £80-120?

Shouldn't you be biting someone's hand off for that?

Not sure like but I thought the early years (some of which I used to have) were kind of expensive these days.

I've been hoping to get to an auction for a while, never been to one. Where is this one and what is selling? Anything of Man Utd interest?

About 5 years a ago I bought a full set to 2000 for 250 quid and thought that was a good price. I think they have been "ebayed" to death since but can't see them going for less now. Don't foget commision both ways when the seller will get about 100 and the buyer pays about 160 even that those prices. But will their regular bids off the walls I expect those to go for about 300 if the is keen interest.

Im gutted that I probably wont make the auction but I am hoping to view the lots on Tuesday and possibly leave some bids on the books.

I spend a fair bit of time in Gotham and East Leake so its very local for me.

Hi
If you do not view the stuff before hand you could end up being shocked by the condition as the onus is on you to view prior to sale.
Great if you live close but not if you dont.
Some stuff is worth taking the chance and sometimes the descriptions are quite good but be warned !!

Why dont you view the auction on
http://www.the-saleroom.com

They give you the auction in audio, video and you after registering can bid online.

You pay an extra 3% for the privilage on the auction houses normal rates but it saves putting in a postal bid as you could hopefully pick up a bargain at a lower price than your postal offer. Just be carefful once you register and choose to bid to keep your mouse away from the bid button.

If you are off its sometimes better than the radio. Cover all types of auctions and some are on it inc Vennets and the one on 30/11 but some such as Bonhams are not......just a case of checking.

Final thing, if you do bid dont just jump in at the opening offer, let it go to the lowest possible before you bid, could be only you who wants it

Gary

I was hoping to go, as there were loads of Forest lots, but I'm stuck at work. Are you after the Forest Lots Carl?

There were lots of Forest stuff there but nothing I really fancied to add to my collection.

I was after a few specific lots for re-sale but got out bid on all of them Sad
