Just interested, I don't own this.
Can anyone tell me if this is the postponed issue or the one played in February.

Don' think is from either of the Fairs Cup fixtures. (the 22 Feb 61 has Barca team on the cover and I never seen the Dec 60 issue although there is one).

The prog you scanned seems to be from an international challenge match in 1962.

(Was the above in that lot of 50 Scottish Europeans which went for about #170 on Ebay yesterday? I had a look, but don't know what drove the late spurt of bidding, was it some of the Dunfermlines?)

I am pretty sure that there is an excellent Hibernian website somewhere on the internet that has programme illustrations on it. That site would sort out your query.
Unfortunately, for the life of me, I can't think what the web address its. Try googling.

Hi GreatBarrWolf, as you yourself pointed out in 2012 on this site, the Hibs prog site was at this address, however it appears to be dead now:

http://www.hibsprogrammes.co.uk/

But as mentioned, the scan from Eck is for the winter 1962 friendly.

It is, the 50 programmes, I had a bid, but I was after the Celtic v Rangers 1/1/56. I was wondering if the buyer was after this one, the Dunfermline ones are a possibility, most are in shocking condition, it was a dealer who bought them.

You are right enough, it is the friendly.

Pity Eck, if it was the postponed issue you would be talking serious money.

I know Eric, I saw a thread on here, I don't think the Dunfermline homes in Europe was the draw for the £175 bid. There are a few sellable items, Hibs v Army, Ibrox disaster programme Thistle v Celtic LCF but not £175 worth.

the Vienna v Hibs 1950 prog sold on Austrian ebay recently for £160.

Buyer was from the Uk, who is a regular 'buy and resell on' dealer, so i would expect to see it for between 250 and 300 in the near future.

Also, re Eck remarks, also studied the 50 scottish european progs, but could not identify the element that punted it up to 175£.
There were some of the more obscure dunfermline europeans and the 56 old firm prog, and the Raith v Villa floodlight opening, but there were also a majority run of the mill items.

You say a dealer bought them, that is crazy. I reckon the most valuable must be the Celtic v Rangers 50s issue, but most of them seem in poor nick. Surprised

His feedback score is less than 1,000 but he has an ebay shop, and one of my saved sellers. A Celtic collector I know (weejohn58) had a bid of £65 just for the Celtic v Rangers. I was after the same one and prepared to pay £70 because I saw a few I could get a few quid back, most I wouldn't try to sell in the condition they were in.

Also surprised it went so high, as some did look in poor nick. The 71 LC Final used to go for about £40 but has come down in price and would probably sell for less than £20 now. If it's a dealer that bought it they must be selling on for premium prices, but even then can' see that much profit there.

Just a quick update on this item.

This was an Inter Cities Fairs Cup 1/4 final Ist leg to be played at Easter Road on 14th Dec 1960.

This was postponed due to fog and played later on 22nd Feb 1960.

Programme Number 13.

16 Pages with pictures of Barcelona stars p8,9,10

Barcelona team picture on cover.

I believe most were destroyed with only a very few remaining.

Can anyone please let me know the value of this programme?.

Last one sold on ebay was December 2012. It sold for £325. Realistic value is around £500 now as there are a few new Hibs collectors who don't have it.
