Make all the Premiership sides play on a Sunday and leave
Saturday, 3pm, to the real clubs. |

Being non league now does have the benefit of having Saturday 3pm kick off times! I went to see Aldershot v Tranmere and it is heart warming to see such tributes to real fans like Frank Burt who died last week, i cant imagine a premier league team making such a fuss of a dedicated fan.
Amazingly he was 102 years ok and went to see the first game Aldershot played in 1927 !!, How many clubs can claim they still have fans who went to their first ever game ?? (MK Dons fans need not apply!) |

I think some of the Prem clubs are fairly "real". You're living up to your name, Don!

Sheffield Wednesday asking for too much to enter their ground to watch a Championship football match! £36. My daughter, now 16, who also comes with me around the country following the Bees - she's been to 32 away grounds already in her short 8 years of supporting Brentford - £20!
£56 in entrance fees. Plus diesel or train fare. Plus food and drink for the day. Over £150 I reckon. Not a hope in hell's chance of Sheffield receiving any of my money. |

My son is 6 and has done 64 league grounds, plus 2 non league and 5 abroad. Only gets 1 or 2 new league grounds a year now as Palace have stayed where they are for a few years now.
In a few weeks time a seat at West Brom in the Premier League is £1 for him.
Whereas the most he's been charged for a kids ticket was £25 for a seat at Non league Dover.
So it's not always predictable!
Chelsea and Man City are always over £20 for kids for a League game in the away end.
The majority of fans of Premier League clubs are lifelong supporters no different to teams lower down the pyramid. We did not choose, we were chosen (as the Everton lyric goes), and all the fixture nonsense is the price paid for the money in the league.

Well, we may be East Midlands rivals, but I think you'll find that 99.995% of Derby fans want Leicester to win the title!

On our way to Rotherham today.
Cheap trains up and back, via st Pancras/Sheffield, plus Rotherham have priced themselves appropriately, £23 for adult and £8 for juniors. Hopefully a good day out as Preston was a few weeks ago?!!
Enjoy your games if going to football today. _________________ Not Forgotten; Allwright, Greechan, Hagan, Kennedy, Littler, Purver, Robotham, Saunders, Shields |
