After a busy West London Fair yesterday, I'm now preparing for my first visit to a Fair at Crewe this coming Sunday.
Any collectors with specific requests, please contact me on [email protected] or phone 07927-519019.

The Crewe shop will have a stall selling badges and current season at reduced prices, as we can't take all our stock to the fair the shop will also be open with more current season and hundreds of general league from 20p and non-league from 10p.

I imagine that most participants - collectors and dealers - would have been pleased with this new fair, so thanks to Paul Baily, Andy Bowler and Scott Kynnersley for taking the trouble to organise it.
I would guess that there must have been something like 50/70 collectors present, some familiar faces from other fairs such as North Staffs, Mancunian etc, but also some collectors not usually seen at other fairs.
From a Crewe Alexandra point of view, it was not the best possible day to hold a fair - the day after their relegation was confirmed. However, the club still has many admirers from the wider football community, not least because of their excellent example in developing home-bred young footballers, and their aversion to paying 'sweeteners' to agents. It was fitting, therefore, that the organisers donated the surplus from the fair to the Crewe Academy.
Hopefuly, this can become a regular annual event in future.

Spotted in some of the Crewe Fair pics, a lot of cards (A & BC etc) at one dealer's stall. Could someone tell me which dealer it was?

Cracking start for a possible new fair on a decent ish Sunday morning in Crewe. I never got there as early as I wanted to due to our national rail services god bless em if I had i'd have been first one in through the door.Had it all planned out what is the saying all the best laid plans and all that. Anyway I was impressed by the turnout of stall holders and had a few decent chats with people I know already from here and again made decent contacts from these blokes. I only wish I had more time to browse and had more of look. When is next one up at Clayton Community Centre in Stoke?
