With it being a Sunday, the laws of the time necessitated the production of a teamsheet with the turnstile price printed on it. Accordingly, I think there are different coloured teamsheets specific to each end of the ground for this match.

I don't think that was quite how it worked - my understanding was that for some reason clubs were (by law) not allowed to charge admission on a Sunday, but got round this (by tacit agreement with the powers that be) by charging 50p (or whatever) for the teamsheet, then only allowing entrance to the game to bearers of said teamsheet.
All this said, I have been wrong before... |

Whilst our reserves were playing Blackpool, the first team were at Gigg Lane in a 4th round FA Cup tie.
Match finished in a 2-2 draw with Tommy Powell and Jack Stamps on target for the Rams.
att: 33,640 (how did they all squeeze in?)
When I go this programme - probably 30 years ago now - tickets were much less collectable. And the dealer hadn't noticed the ticket nestling inside this one. Nice wee bonus!

Not half!
As a 12 year old, my very first "bargain bundle" from Steve Earl contained a dozen of these Coventry issues and I do recollect being strangely drawn to those back covers**. I didn't understand why, though.

Time didn't allow today but I intend looking for that one over the weekend as I don't recall it. I shamefully have them all (Perv)
January 28th 1967
Leeds United 3 Crystal Palace 0
Att. 37,768
Goals from O'Grady, Bell & Johanneson see Leeds safely through this 3rd round FA Cup tie against lower league Crystal Palace (Evening Pete!)
Don't know much about your substitute Pete but suspect you may have some info and maybe even a picture?
28th January 1984
Buckingham Town v Windsor & Eton
Can't expand on this one much but quite a nice cover in Buckingham Town's centenary year

Typo somewhere - the Palace sub is Eddie Presland, ex West Ham and also Essex CCC cricketer. He played in the game at No 4 and the sub was actually Stuart Shaw, who made his only CPFC appearance in this match.
Here's Eddie:-
In the absence of anything dated 29th January to hand, I'm pleased to post this which fell out of a 1952/3 programme I got hold of:-

67 years ago (1948/9 season) and an FA Cup 4th Rd tie between Stoke City and Blackpool.
The programme is a standard 12 page issue roughly split 50-50 between adverts and content.
The ‘Our Portrait Gallery’ features Roy Jones – reserve centre half.
The match was played in front of 47,000 spectators and ended 1-1 with Mortensen scoring for Blackpool and Mountford for Stoke.

50 years ago today
29th January 1966
Sunderland 2 Leeds United 0
Att. 35,942
You will note from the Leeds team photo in the programme that our defence was so good in those days that Gary Sprake would often play in a suit

That may explain the typo.
Similar thing happened when Johnny Piles made his debut for us!
Cheers Pete. _________________ For a daily feed of football nostalgia please click on the link to view my Twitter page on your PC - https://twitter.com/MemorabiliaMal |

30th January 1954
Football League, Division III, South
Att: 5,595
Crystal Palace 0, Exeter City 0
An atrocious programme printed on blotting paper with a child-like impression of the fabulous Crystal Palace in the top right corner.
2 of the players below appeared in this game. Wally Hanlon, centre, was a regular on the left wing, and Bob Thomas, right, scored 20 league goals in 45 games and it was probably down to him that we finished as high as 22nd of 24. Left is Peter Berry (brother of Johnny) who made his 1st team debut a week earlier but was spared this match.

Clarke and Charlton again in this Division 1 fixture

74 years ago (1941/2 season) and a War Cup qualifying round tie between Blackpool and Huddersfield Town.
This match also counted as a League Northern Section 2nd Competition fixture.
Blackpool won the match 4-2 with goals from Mortensen, Dodds (2) and Rix.
The programme is a standard 4 page issue with a blank back cover.

Same as yesterday's Hull game this was a friendly fixture as both teams had been knocked out of the FA Cup. Ray Iggleden with the only goal of the game
