No Stenhousemuir issue to show for today, so back to 1927 for a home game against Aylesbury United in the Spartan League. Maidenhead won 9-3 and went on to become Champions. Six page gatefold issue printed black on olive green paper.

Same date as above - 9th January 1960

Aston Villa 2 Leeds United 1 (FAC3)

Leeds bow out of the competition at the first hurdle for the eighth season running!

Also on this day in 1971 I have to mention that my dear old Dad took me to my first ever game...

West Brom 0 Nottingham Forest 1 (Div1)

I remember very little about the game other than the walk to the ground and a huge Peter Hindley clearance, as a young lad I couldn't believe a ball could be kicked so far!! Particularly poignant now as my Dad is very poorly, I'm trying to comprehend where that 45 years has gone

Don't have my programme from the game to hand so borrowed this from eBay last time I posted on the subject

1971 and a 2-0 win for Stenhousemuir at Coatbridge against Albion Rovers - something that doesn't happen nowadays!

Eight page programme produced, a pre-printed outer cover and a typed and duplicated insert. The Warriors finished 10th, the Wee Rovers 7th - Partick Thistle and East Fife were promoted.

10th January 1962

Derby County 3 Leeds United 1 (FAC3r) 28,168

Yet more FA Cup 3rd round misery for Leeds but at least we managed a replay after a 2-2 draw at fortress Elland Road

Both clubs were below average Div2 outfits 1961/2 - Derby finishing 16th and Leeds 19th

We still are Laughing

And here's that Supporters' Club flyer about the travel on offer for this game - it seems to have more relevance here than when it was issued. But my apologies for repeating so quickly.

8 page issue but the only reading of any note is on page 3 where the Secretary apologises to supporters following the "many letters of complaint" he'd had due to demand far exceeding supply for stand tickets for this match.

Red text on white paper isn't the easiest on the eye.

Bournemouth & Boscombe 0
Derby 2 (Tim Ward, Raich Carter)
