This could also be for the following season Saturday February 10th 1951 v Arsenal as the groundside tickets looked the same crowds were similar v Portsmouth 53,000 and Arsenal 55,000.
Looking at your ticket and the scan of mine i would say it IS v Portsmouth but then i am showing another image and this also looks like the other 2 but i have this down v Arsenal 1950-1-confusing 4 sure!

Now then re the price-as a conservative guess-it could be ANYTHING! haha-sorry but if 2 loonies lock horns it could run to a few hundred pounds as recently a "nothing" ticket for a league match at OT in the late 1950's hit £300

there are no hard and fast rules re United home tickets pre-1960 other than they are worth a lot more than most other clubs as not so many usually turn up, factor in also playing at Maine Road till 1949-50 then again in the European Cup in 1956-7-then Munich-it all adds up to an expensive set of items when they show up.

If you had a home United ticket that showed v Portsmouth then that would be a considerably lot more than the groundside tickets we both have!.

Hope it helps but you are onto a winner whichever way!

Anyone with United home tickets pre-1960 can form an orderley que please, i will be standing here for the next 3 days with a bag full of cash looking for expectant sellers-but i suspect i will be disappointed Crying or Very sad
