The best Charity shops to find bargains in are the ones outside of the City centres, thats where most of my finds have come from. Also steer clear of the Charity shops dealing mostly in books if you want bargains.

Stonking result there,

Dundalk V Shelbourne 7/12/58 25p

FA Final 93 Sheff Wed V Arsenal 50p

Liverpool V Forest 15/4/89 (Hillsborough disaster) 25p

These are worth a bit, that much I know. Is the 93 final the replay or first game, as the replay is worth about £70.

All I managed is Northampton v Man Utd FA Cup 2004 worth about £10 for 50p.

93 was the final and not the replay unfortunately, still a decent haul.

What would the value of the Dundalk V Shelbourne prog be?, i have little idea about Irish programmes.

Unfortunately it's one of those incredibly common 'rare' programmes that comes up on eBay every couple of weeks and doesn't often sell for more than a pound or two. Still, worth 25p of anyone's money for a 50s programme!

The Hillsborough one is a good find, worth a few bob. Check that it is the Hillsboro one though, Liverpool played Forest at Hillsboro in the 87-88 FA cup semi-final too.

Definately 89 programme, i knew it was worth a few quid when I saw it, I have previously tried to purchase on ebay, but won't pay more than a tenner for a none Doncaster programme.

Happy days

Tip for some people contact your local charity shop and get the warehouse details because the warehouse know normally put programmes straight on ebay or sell privately in bulk deals.

I came across the opposite of a car boot bargain yesterday morning. There was a stall with a packet of 21 Bolton home programmes from the 1966/67 season in fairly good condition with minor creasing and the occasional team change. No price on them so i was thinking £15 ish and anything under a tenner a good buy.Realistically on ebay they would do well to reach £10.
When i asked the price the answer was "£2.50 each or £50 for the lot."
More expensive than a London full time dealer on a Sunday morning car boot.

Me neither, they don't seem to have anything you want in Todmorden, only floods.

The 57/58 Bolton v Man Utd programme for £15 in good condition from a local antique shop today.
This is about £50 less than it has been selling for on ebay in the last year or two.
I have been prepared to pay up to £50 for this one but had not had the opportunity to do so until today Smile
