I'm looking for a slice of help if possible.
I've recently bought the attached photo off Pete, it states October 1968 on the back, which ties up neatly with Tony Jones time with Newport County.

I'm just looking to identify the stand-terrace in the background.

According to my records Newport played away to Brentford, Darlington and Scunthorpe during the month of October, can anyone confirm the ground?

Cheers Scott

Definitely looks like Brentford.

The ironwork on the roof gives it away I think.

Yes, Universal took a lot of photos of various teams visiting Brentford.

Maybe it was the pub in each corner that attracted the photographers!

Without a doubt it's Griffin Park. That's the New Road/Brook Road corner. New Road had the old floodlight frames on the roof from the 1950's to the early 1970's.... Nice picture Smile
