Most of the best Hearts youngsters played in the Youth Cup final, losing to to the Rangers youth team which didn't include any of the Rangers first team squad.

They played both First team & U20 games all season as Hearts simply didn't have the numbers due to the transfer ban, did that have an impact on Hearts losing the Youth Cup Final on penalties? who knows, but I wouldn't fall into the trap of using that as a yardstick on their abilities!

When they had to be used in the first team, they stopped playing in the youth league, that's why the Hearts youth team finished bottom of the league, the were recalled for the Youth Cup Final,I have to say that they were the better side but there wasn't a lot in it.

There were a few that still turned out fairly regularly for the U20's, I know, I watched them!

Still, I think things will hinge on the signings made between now and the start of the season, same with Rangers and Hibs. It's going to be interesting!

I'm looking forward to it,Rangers know that they have to be up for every game,i've never been happy with it being too easy and although I sympathise with Hibs and Hearts fans who saw their teams relegated,it will make for a far more exciting league.

Is Eck in hiding as well after his quote of I think we will take Hibs up with us next year, and Rangers will romp it. Oops one team did romp it 21 points ahead of second and 25 ahead of the third placed team. I'm not going to make any predictions for next year. Ok here goes Hearts to win the treble and Caley to win the Europa Cup. He He.
