Something, but you don't know was in it,what, was pricey
Very strange opinion on nothing |
Can someone translate that middle line????? |
Happy to translate
The idiot said he thought a lot sold at auction was a bit pricey
He then admitted he didn't actually know what specifically was in the lot of 60-70 programmes
I have been asking all along how does he know if it was pricey if he didn't know what the f**k he was actually commenting on
I am looking for a new car
I hope i don't get offered a pricey car
Is a Aygo pricey at £12,000 or is a Bentley pricey at £15,000???
Stick to fish and chips pal
Your opinion is better suited to that |

It is very aggressive on here as lots of people have the two things we all have which is an arsehole and an opinion.
On here the two are often the same for a lot of the "forum experts" i'm afraid.
If you want a valuation don't ask here
You'll either get tatered by Barry or get a way out of touch valuation from most of the others |

AUCTIONS AUCTIONS AUCTIONS... Its like going to a casino you know what you are prepared to spend and stick to it. There was an Albion lot at a recent Midland Auction... A friend asked me to view it he said he was prepared to pay £400.. I was prepared to pay £600, a Baggies fan in the room said he was prepared to pay up to £1,000.
It went for £1250 so the moral of the story is ,
If you really want it buy it and if you dont get it, stop bitching about it.
Picked up Rotherham v Villa League cup finals both legs 1961 today for £1 each from St Giles Hospice BookShop..
I gave them a £5 note and told them to keep the change.. The assistant thanked me for my £3 donation..
They will be on ebay later £550 for the two.. |

sounds a bit pricey
well more than i would pay
well less than i could sell them for
well more than somebody else would ask for them
well less than they would sell for at an auction house
anybody got any vinegar for the fish and chips?
what sort of fish is it?

Nice result Bazza ...never any programmes in our local Charity shops...and I even have my daughters who volunteer in them briefed to make sure I hear about any!
My best recently was a job lot for £7 which had a World Cup final ticket in it that went for a ton on eBay...sweet

in my experience of this auction, the high sale prices is down to the dodgy 'bidding' practices adopted by the auction administrator/owner.
Beware |

Not sure about the dodgy practices accusation, but in my opinion, any auction house that does not publish its results should be avoided anyway. |

Hiya,
All our sales results are published and most are available through this site. The main reason we don't post our sales results on saleroom.com is because they were publishing unsold lots as sold. We also email our results after sale to anyone that wants to view them. Please see other threads from past auctions where the links to our sales results are clearly visible.
The link for Monday sale results is as follows.
http://www.footballsportsauctions.co.uk/March%20Sale%20results2015.pdf
As for "dodgy bidding practices" I wont rise to the bait.
Andy

I must defend andy on this occasion, we too, sporting memorys were... said on this forum not to issue results, this is false
however we do publish ours, but it only after a every bid is reconciled with the saleroom account, trust me, more mistakes happen with them and I find a 48 hour waiting period after the sale normally cuts out errors made by the saleroom |

The salesroom.com are utter sh!te these days.
I used them 5 or 6 times from 2010 to 2012, no bother. Since then I've been the highest bidder and not won the Lots due to 'admin error' by them. Must have happened 4 times out of 5.
Their customer service is poor and their attitude is 'never our fault' it's the auctioneer, or it's admin or you didn't register properly...
avoid and just register direct with the auctioneer. it's cheaper too as no 'online commission fees'. |

There was one lot I really wanted - all set up on the Saleroom; have my bid shown as "in the lead" by clicking on the bid button; next thing auction finishes and the lot sells at my bid but to someone else??!!
Would have been going considerably more than what it sold for so really frustrated by the whole thing. What can we do?!?! |

I have never fully put my trust in internet bidding for items I really want.
If I am not able to get to an auction I try to book a phone line.
If I have a maximum bid in mind I just submit a commission bid.
Too many things can go wrong with an internet connection. |
