Utd played in the Tinapa invitational soccer fiesta 23-28 July 2008, along with Portsmouth and Kano Pillars FC.

According to my notes no official programme was produced, I do however have a small fold out leaflet style programme/brochure and was wondering if anyone else has one/has seen one, what its value might be and if anyone else obtained anything from this tournament?

Cheers, Paul.

Pablo,
I recall at the time that the pamphlet was the only thing that ever surfaced and it was going for £100 - £150 (maybe more!)

It's for others to judge if it was a programme, so to each his own.

Apparently these "programmes" we're the only thing known to come out of this tournament, found thrown away in a VIP section and 3 of them were obtained by 1 person and bought back to England.

Iirc about 14 United fans went over,12 together who were on a widely seen photo and 2 individuals who do their own thing.
There was a riot outside the ground by all accounts, the tickets were like a months wages for the average Nigerian worker.
About 2 weeks later my daughter was a United mascot at the community shield v Pompey, they got a specially made kit bag with the game details on and specially made team shirt.
Not worth anything monetary but memories that are priceless, and the week after that she was a United mascot for Ole's testimonial at Old Trafford

This very rare little programme is still available. Whilst not one for a lot of enthusiasts, it is a must have for the completist collector, it's the only thing available from this game.

Open to offers.
