For some reason The S Step has been picked up by local media outlets recently even though its been there since Madejski Stadium was built !

I like the local comment at the bottom "Clearly more interesting than watching Reading.........."

Incidentally does anyone know is this now the only league ground named after a person!?

That's brilliant!! Laughing

No idea why it tickles me so much, but both the videos and this particular comment had me chortling ... "You often see a big pile of chips on the S Step."

Laughing Laughing

We went there in August in the League Cup, and given the amount of ale I had on board that night it's fair to say I was probably a victim of whatever step letter the one in the away end is!!

Very Happy

It may be the only one in England named after a person, but St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park is named after Bruce McDiarmid, the farmer who donated the land that the stadium was built on.

A couple of others that spring to mind

I'd like to add that my team's ground is named after a farming lady, but alas Anne Field does not exist.... Laughing Laughing
