If any attending dealers have either Aberdeen programmes - pre 1960 mainly, and or Olympic and Commonwealth Games programmes or tickets, or World Cup and Euro Champ tickets, I would make the trip across the Pennines. Oh and any A & BC/Topps cards or early Panini or similar for a mate!!
Regards
Dave
PS I'll probably come anyway, but any of the above would make it more worthwhile!

Which ones your stall?
Trams are running a normal service and buses a Saturday service 246 from Altrincham station will take you to the Bowdon hotel. If you park on the roads around the hotel just check the restrictions. See you there all being well.

Stall no/1 mate, on the left infront of the bar as you enter the room...... I'd say that the Hotels car park is quite large and I;d expect no conferences to be held tomorrow, so hopefully parking won't cause to many problems.
See you All Tomozz

I thank you both for having the nouse to spot a gap this year and take advantage of it-well done.

Bazza said i would be the first one through the door-i was around 75 mins before it opened but i was chatting to stall holders and organisers whilst holding my position on the starting blocks-i even borrowed a nicker from Tom Row to get in as i only had £50,000 in 50's and no one had any change.
I managed to find 4 items and am delighted to do so.
When i had to leave at 11.15 there was a good crowd in and money was changing hands so hopefully it all ended up well for everyonebuyers and sellers.
Nice venue, nice atmosphere plenty of parking paces to get the stretch in without peeing off too many. Well Done once again Wave

Happy New Year to Everyone on the Forum for 2015

I can only reiterate the positive comments. It is not easy to fond many good fairs in the North of England, and being an Aberdeen collector from Hull, the choice tends to be limited. So a couple of hours drive was well worth it today, even though nobody had any Dons stuff I need - any pre-60's stuff out there?? Anyway, some of my side collections - cards and tickets - benefitted from me spending a few bob, and my non-attending sticker collecting mate will also have some goodies when I next see him!
Good venue, and lots of variety amongst the dealers, all of whom were very personable, and willing to deal, and chat.
Well done to footiebadgebloke and all the organisers!

An excellent event. Well done Andy and Paul, for the organisation at short notice.

Venue was a bit cosier than the Cresta Court, with not as much room for inspecting the items or socialising.

Nice to put a few faces to names.

I picked up a couple of quality items from Chris Williams, and a few items from the organisers.

Although most of the other dealers didn't have anything for me, there was an excellent range of items for sale.

It's always good to catch up with dealers that I see on a regular basis at fairs, as well as those that I see less frequently.

I don't believe it.

I dig the car out of the snow at 9:30am in the christmas wonderland known as Sheffield, decide to head over the snake pass, just to get on one of Infoman's infamous photo's, and he doesn't bother turning up.

What a t**t. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Still managed to pick up a couple of teamsheets of Fylde Programmes, some tickets of AB without being told to 'F**K off'. Must be Christmas Smile
Some reserves of Paul Bailey and a pile of programmes from Colin Boulter which will go to my little un's fledgling collection. I knew one of them would get into it Crying or Very sad

Great to talk to Ewood programmes and his little helper, Mick and Alex and of course, footiebadgebloke amongst others.

Well done everybody. Day only ruined by some beardy bloke constantly asking for Aberdeen programmes Laughing

I will get on Infoman's pictures one day Smile

great to read all the positive comments about yesterday... Smile

from my own point of view (as a seller) I thought the event was well organised and attended and although I have no idea on numbers through the door the one sure thing is that you don't get the same numbers you did 10 years ago!

It will be interesting to see what happens next year Nod
