I don't particularly but I do have a few, I picked up a lot at the FSA auction earlier this year and there was a Wolves issue signed by the whole Tottenham team that played from 1962.

Thumbs Up

I must admit to a liking for programmes with autographs but not on the cover! I used to get mine signed over their names on the team line ups. Some of the programmes for bigger games had player profiles and it's nice to have them signed over that. It used to be awkward to keep the programme from getting crumpled.
The problem today is that few footballers can actually write, all they seem to do is a squiggle which could be done by a trained monkey. Anyone who watches autograph hunters after tennis matches will know what I mean.
It might be interesting to see others' opinions as to whether the value is increased/decreased by where it is signed and by who.

As l collect autographs , l have alot of signed programmes and as slightfold mentions that todays footballers just do a squiggle and it´s therefore very difficult to find out who they are

I think they must be under the impression they're doctors by the squiggles I've seen.

It's always good to get peoples opinions. I found a 1983 tour brochure with some autographs inside which i was going to sell, One looks very much like Bob Paisley.

I do like signed programmes if I can get hold of them, particularly Scotland items.

Modern day sigs are frankly unreadable!

Any chance of a photo of it as I might be interested. I like signed programmes although sometimes it can be a bit difficult working them out years later Confused

Cheers John

I'm one that prefers that there are no sigs on or in my programmes. I had about 4 seasons in the nineties when my kids would get all the rovers players to sign my copy every game. They stood at the front and thought they were doing me a favor. I have since replaced most of them as I couldn't read any anyway.

To add further to my previous comments I am such an anorak that if I have signatures I always have another 'clean' copy!! I agree with pastpirate's comments it does not make any difference whether you can read or not as only experts in Egyptian heiroglyphics could decipher the modern day squiggles.

Prefer them inside - having them on the front cover can be a bit messy!

This one intrigues me. I picked it up years ago but it's for a postponed game. Were they obtained on the day? Does this imply the match was a very late postponement?

Any help very welcome.

I don't mind if the programme is signed on cover but I like it when it is signed on the center page over there name
