I think I can agree to most of these.

In my neck of the woods I also watch Rugby League which still has a lot of the values of football from days gone by. It does irk me however when Rugby commentators and writers refer to "a good football game" or "the team playing good football"

Football is football!! ROUND Very Happy

"Sonny Anderson is known for wearing his socks above his knees, and has inspired Thierry Henry to do the same: Henry does this as a tribute to him."

I always remember reading that in FourFourTwo (I think) and I started doing the same when I played! (Henry was my hero)

Poncified players other than the goalkeepers wearing gloves, makes me cringe.

a) that stupid bloody spray the ref wastes time with at a free kick (if they encroach, just book the buggers)

b) teams using their change strip when there's evidently no need to

c) those awful animated adverts round the perimeter of the pitch

d) team "huddles" prior to kick-off

e) any number on the back of a shirt other than between 1 and 16 (inclusive)

f) calling a linesman an "assistant referee"

g) **controversy alert**....football clubs forced by proxy to become moral barometers and arbiters so as to represent what we're told is public opinion. I have no feelings either way for Sheffield United but the current controversy makes me feel like the club has been hijacked by those with their own agendas.

Players kicking the ball off then appealing for the throw in.

Players wasting time by leaving the ball in the corner of the pitch for the keeper to go & collect.

Fans who always - ALWAYS - mispronounce one of our own players' names, or add an S to the end of it. For instance, Palace had Simon Rodger play for us for about a decade. My mate always called him RODGERS. Really wound me up!

Ever encountered East Stirling's most ardent fan - "mad Bill"?
He could outshout an entire home end standing on his own behind the goal.
A legend I was lucky enough to experience first hand a couple of times!

So called supporters wearing jester hats....

Nothing to do with supporting your team. Nothing to do with football.Everything to do with being a T**t

Celebrating players doing the same....totally out of touch with real fans. Confused

ITV's coverage in general.

Closest I've ever come to putting my foot through the TV screen the other week when I listened to what those patronising morons had to say about San Marino.

Pardon me for harking back to the days of Hugh Johns and Brian Moore but how does a twat like Andy Townsend remain employed??

Is that Mad icon the result of one of Suarez's bites Jim?!

No doubting his class as a player once upon a time but I'm not keen on Michael Owen's co-commentary

Supporters who stuff their programme bent double in their back pockets - Sacrilege

As mentioned by others, Assistant Referee, ridiculous

The total overload of betting adverts before and during matches (and I like a bet)

Male physios - If I played for Chelsea I'd be permanently injured, groin mostly! Love
